On May 2, 2010, the United States announced the death of Osama bin laden 10 years after he unleashed terror on Americans and the rest of the world in a tragedy that would never be forgotten in American history.

It therefore didn’t come as a surprise when prominent personalities and individuals all across the globe promptly began reacting to the death of a man who had eluded American intelligence for a decade.

While many were quick to heave a sigh of relief at Osama’s death at the hands of CIA operatives while a few others urged leaders across the world to borrow a leaf from Osama’s experience and also tasked those the oppressive tendencies to shed the cloak of tyranny.

Bin Laden’s death should be a final warning to Ghadaffi. Dictators are either killed or commit suicide (Mussolini and Hitler just to mention a few). Well done U.S.A.

I laughed my heart out when I heard Nigerians were celebrating when the news of Osama’s death hit us. I wonder if majority of us understand the grievances that exist in this country. I wonder if we all know that our leaders are terrorists and are bent on truncating the gradual revolution that has set in. Maybe they don’t know that Bin laden is dead but alive in Nigeria.

Obama administration has succeeded in killing the world acclaimed terrorist after ten years; yet in Nigeria, the killer of the likes of Bola Ige have not been unraveled not to talk of being killed. I’ve been wondering if the killers are in this country or not.

Now, who becomes the new leader of suicide bombers; now that Osama is gone?

Adaeze Chioma Agbasi

Oh! How glad will Saddam, Hitlet, Idi Amin and others be to accept Osama Bin Laden into the Lake of Fire?

Chinwe Anakwe

If Osama bin Laden is truly dead then thumbs up to the U.S Army but it will be an added bonus if we see his corpse.

Who is going to be the next ‘Most Wanted.’

Steven Anu Adesemoye

More like a typical American action flick – brilliant one. I hope this will also bring an end to terrorism and the harassment of innocent souls across the globe.

Think backward and forward over the past two years; whose death hurt me the most and who didn’t. For me, it’s Gani Fawehinmi and Osama respectively.
