A-Capone's Florida Home For Sale at $10 Million

Al Capone’s old Florida estate will be placed on the market in Miami for almost 10 million dollars.

The football-field-sized waterfront lot once owned by "Scarface" features verandas, a recreation room, private dock, and a black-and-gold Art Deco powder room that still looks like it did back in Capone’s day.

Al Capone is most infamous for his prohibition-era crime syndicate in Chicago, but the notorious gangster also owned a mansion in Palm Island, Florida, which is now up for sale.

History buffs will be excited to bid for the $9.95 million palatial estate, which epitomizes the laid-back atmosphere of the Sunshine State with its rolling green lawns and towering palm trees.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the Public Enemy Number One was eventually nailed for tax evasion and sent to notorious Alcatraz prison in 1934. He died at age 48 from a stroke, eight years after he was released.

Capone bought the mansion in 1928 for $40,000 and ever since then South Florida has emerged as a hub for gangsters and Mafia members wanting to escape the heat of the law and relax in the sun while conducting their illicit business, reported the Palm Beach Post.

According to DEA agent Richard Mangan, the organized crime boss even used the house as his alibi for the 1929 St. Valentine's Day Massacre.

Located at 93 Palm Avenue on a football field-sized lot on the edge of Biscayne Bay, the historical home boasts verandas, a recreation room, private dock, ornate plasterwork, and a black-and-gold Art Deco powder room that looks the same as when Capone used it.
