'Jurassic Park 4' to Hit Theatres in 2014

During last year's Comic-Con, Steven Spielberg announced that he already worked out the story for 'Jurassic Park 4' and was hoping to make the film in two or three years. Then last month, "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" writers Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver were hired to write the script.
Now, Collider had the chance to speak to producer Frank Marshall, who confirmed that the plan is still to have the film in theaters in two years, likely during the summer since it's a "popcorn movie."

He went on to say that it's definitely a sequel, and even though Spielberg won't be directing, he'll be heavily involved in the development. And the reason why Marshall and Spielberg are so interested in the fourth film, is because there's an opportunity to take advantage of all the technological advancements that have been made in recent years.

"That's what’s gonna be great about it, technology hass taken a leap now that we can really do some great things," he said, adding that the dinosaurs won't all be CGI because practical effects feel more realistic to audiences.
