Police Arrest 8 Suspected Robbers in C-River *Recover N2m

THE Cross River State Police Command, has, arrested an eight-man robbery gang, that trailed a 55-year-old woman to a bank in Calabar and recovered the N2 million the suspected robbers collected from the woman.
Mrs. Ekpo-Bassey Toyo,  was, yesterday, dispossessed of N2 million, which she had withdrawn from a bank on Calabar Road for burial.

Briefing newsmen, yesterday, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Osita Ezechukwu, who was marking his 100 days in office in the state, said the woman had just left the old generation bank and was waiting at a bus stop on Calabar Road, when the robbers, driving in a Mercedes Benz 190, forcefully took the money from her.
