Police Declares Veteran Islamic Programme Presenter, GAWAT Missing

All day i had been inundated with questions and messages as to the authenticity of the report stating that veteran Islamic Programme presenter, Alhaji Razaq Lawan popularly known as ‘Gawat’ had gone missing and i deliberately decided to stall writing anything until i was 100% sure.

As at the moment of writing this, the Nigeria Police Force has officially declared Gawat missing and this automatically brings a lot of unpleasant questions running through my mind.

We all must note that the Islamic Ramadan fast is less than 8 days to commencement and that the veteran presenter has over the years built a reputation for himself with the ease and professional manner he anchors the early morning programme where he doles out loads of gifts to excited callers while also imparting knowledge to his teeming audience.

His sudden disappearance at a time when the Ramadan fast is just around the corner as i noted earlier leaves much to be desired.

We however pray that he gets found in a safe and sound condition.

This is almost like a presidential candidate getting kidnapped a week to the presidential election. Who would you suspect?
