Beyonce Wears Huge Gold Earrings Ready To Film Music Video For The United Nations

Wherever she goes she ensures she stands out to keep up with her superstar persona.
And Beyonce even kept that mantra up today as she visited the United Nations in New York ready to mark World Humanitarian Day.

The Crazy In Love hitmaker turned up to meet U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in a relatively straight laced outfit.

Her ensemble consisted of a white shirt and jacket over black trousers.

And she even kept her usually flamboyant hair low key with it scraped back into a bun.

But one thing that didn't go unnoticed was her enormous gold earrings.

The chunky jewellery accessories looked heavy and excessively big hanging from her ears.

Nevertheless she looked demure as she chatted away to the South Korean leader.

But it was the calm before the storm as she was preparing to take the stage to perform in the U.N. General Assembly Hall in the Big Apple ready to film a brand new music video.

She is set to perform power ballad I Was Here to mark the special day tonight - although it actually takes place on 19 August when a video of the performance will be aired.

The show will be filmed tonight in a bid to try and get one billion people to view the clip with the aim to urge her fans to learn all about the campaign - which was set up to mark the anniversary of the Baghdad bombings.

In August, 2003 the U.N. offices in the city were targeted, causing 22 deaths.

And she is expected to perform in front of several celebrities, but so far the details have been kept under wraps.

All proceeds of the single and video will go towards the United nations.
