Christy Essien Igbokwe’s son gradually gets over mum’s death

When the news about the death of Nigeria’s veteran songbird, Christy Essien Igbokwe broke, the nation visibly mourned the loss of one of its most talented acts.

Her son, Kaka Igbokwe joined the rest of the world in shedding tears for his late mum whose presence will remain evergreen in his memories.

Several weeks after her demise, late Igbokwe’s name continued to resonate through the print media, electronic media and the internet – As expected, the likes of former President, Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), Tee Mac, Onyeka Onwenu and other great artistes continued to pay homage to the talented icon.

Interestingly, her son has showed strong signs of getting over the tragic episode of losing his mother. He made this clear when he recently posted a few lines of popular social networking site, ‘Facebook.’

He pointed out that it was time to leave the dark chapter behind and move on: “New day New life. I still miss you though… let’s gawwwwwww.”

The music producer has been progressive with his career with a number of acts under his record label and we wish him all the best in his musical endeavours.
