Lizzy Anjorin refutes rumoured death, accident

'I am not dead' – Lizzy Anjorin

Our attention has been drawn to a malicious report where it was openly and wrongly stated that popular Yoruba actress, Lizzy Anjorin was involved in a ghastly automobile crash.
We hereby condemn this report and rumour in it’s entirety as the actress is alive and well and was not involved in any auto crash whatsoever.

Anjorin has expressed her displeasure with the print publication that instigated this rumour as well as other media platforms that helped to spread the falsehood about her state of health.
In a chat with Simply Samad MEDIA, she added that one of the things that really hurt her about the rumours was that its instigators not only failed to cross-check their facts before going to press but even went as far as stating that the severity of the accident has allegedly resulted in the loss of her legs.
“I am alive and well. The Lord has been good to me this year and I cannot stop thanking him for the many favours in my life. I am yet to understand why anyone would cook up such a tragic story around me without even bothering to get their facts right. I was not involved in any automobile crash and I am hale and hearty.
We urge Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora to disclaim any further rumour erroneously attributing any ill health, accident or related misfortune to the award-winning actress and pray for her safety and well being as they have always done.
We once again remind her teeming fans that the actress is alive and healthy and wishes everyone a splendid Christmas and  prosperous New Year celebration.
The actress recently completed work on her new movie, Miss Kofo Tinubu in which she played the role of an imbecile.
It was a new Lizzy different from the beautiful, delectable actress her fans are familiar with.
Despite being predominantly comical, the movie, passes a very deep message and was shot in Abeokuta and Lagos.
It features popular acts in the comic genre of the Yoruba Nollywood such as Olaniyi Afonja a.k.a. Sanyeri, Lamko Omoba Dubai, Dejo Tunfulu among others.
“The film was designed to celebrate the physically challenged in the society, show them love and pas the message of hope,” she disclosed.
Speaking on her experience while shooting the movie, the actress stated that her new role was a very challenging one but she gave thanks to God for giving her the grace to complete the job. “It was a very challenging job for me. I even strained my neck while acting the role but I thank God that at the end of the day we completed the job successfully,” she said.
