By Samod Biobaku

Have you ever paused to wonder what late Afro Beat king, Fela Anikulapo Kuti would have said or done in protest of President Jonathan’s removal of oil subsidy?

Well, you might not have to ponder for too long especially if you saw his son, Seun Kuti on January 3, 2012 when Nigerians took to the streets in protest.
Guess what? Out very dear Seun Kuti did not only join the protest but was in the fore-front of the march against the Jonathan’s oppressive tendencies.
Certainly, his father must have had a massive halo over his head; a sign of how proud young Kuti must have made him feel.
We join the rest of Nigeria is saluting Seun Kuti’s bravery and spirit despite the apparent dangers that trailed his decision.
He could have been arrested, beaten by overzealous policemen or even shot dead by trigger happy cops yet he chose to stand firm in his resolve to resist oppression in all its forms.
