Big Brother Africa Latest: Kenyan Prime Minister, Odinga Roots For Prezzo
With less than three days to the finals of the Big Brother Africa Reality Show, it is now a tight contest between the last six standing; Keagan (South Africa), Wati (Malawi), Kyle (Uganda), Talia (Zambia), Prezzo (Kenya) and Lady May (Namibia).
It was not surprising that Kenyan Prime Minister, Raila Odinga officially joined the Team Prezzo hash-tag on Twitter, appealing to Kenyans to vote for the musician to win as Big Brother Africa Stargame enters its last stretch.
In a tweet on Monday, Odinga, said he would like all ‘Kenyans to come together in large numbers to vote for Prezzo’.
This is not the first time a senior government official has made a comment on the reality TV show, which is watched by millions of people across the continent.
In 2010, Zimbabwe’s representative, Muyaradzi Chidzonga in Big Brother reality TV show and second place winner recieved a $300,000 cheque from President Robert Mugabe.
Chidzonga was reportedly handed the money by the ruler who thought the voting on the show was unfair to his kinsman.
As the show ends on Sunday, South Africa’s Keagan is highly favoured to win the converted prize. Controversial Lady May is expected to give him a close call while Prezzo, who was Goldite’s love interest, may be an early casualty of the night.
