Synopsis

I remember we earlier took a peek at the movie, ‘BEYOND THE WILL’ and I told you about how the pulsating story begins. Let’s plunge a bit deeper into the plot and characters in this movie.

Elder Freddy is a business tycoon with hundreds of secrets. Now that death constantly winks at him, he knows his time is almost done and so on his sick bed, he summons his son, Freddy Jnr. and reveals a secret so devastating, it threatens to destroy everything father and son have come to love and protect – A 26-year-old secret that shatters the doors of trust and opens the gates of regret, fear, uncertainty, destruction and debilitating shock.

Elder Freddy eventually dies and he shoulders his son with a grave responsibility of dealing with the reality of having five other siblings from different parts of the country – Now that Freddy Jnr. knows he has brothers and sisters he never knew he had since he was born, how will he handle the inevitable confrontation that must ensue?

Cast

FREDDY JNR

Freddy Johnson is a UK-born Nigerian who sacrificed his career to take charge of his father’s business in Nigeria. He is a very distinguished character in the movie and he starts off as a kind, friendly and committed person but things go unavoidably ugly when his father reveals a 26-year-old secret to him on his death bed.

ANNABEL

Annabel is the youngest daughter and child of elder Freddy who never concerned herself with the family matters. In this movie, Annabel brings the Western culture into perspective and the character is played by Sugar Chika Asoegwu; a rising Nollywood actress.

FREDDY JOHNSON

Elder Freddy is an international business tycoon and the story loops around his life as a young man till he finds himself on his death bed with one final request to make; a request that shatters the glass of trust. Can his son grant him his wish of uniting his other children whom he has kept a secret for 26 years?

WINNIE

Winnie is the missing daughter of Elder Freedy John who falls in love with her brother Freddy Jnr. Winifred Johnson is a character in the movie played by Ejiro Okurame. From a street prostitute, she rises to take on challenges that will leave the audience absolutely breathless.

FESTUS

Festus is the company’s accountant who conspires with Ahmed; the Manager to declare war against Freddy. The role of Festus is played by Remy Hajuni.

POSTOR EUGENE

Vitalis Ndubisi plays the role of the pastor who saddles himself with the Herculean task of reconciling elder Freddy`s children.

ANITA

Mrs. Anita is Elder Freddy’s lawfully wedded wife and the mother of Freddy Jnr and Annabel. Her actions bring about a surprising turn around in Freddy`s  life.

BESSIE

Uche Benjamin; a young and promising actress plays the role of Bessie Bassey; the company`s secretary. She is a committed staff who secretly admires Freddy Jnr. but is lost as to how to successfully express it.

BARRISTER

Tony Godman is one of Nollywood’s proficient actors and he plays the role of Barrister Adams. He is the company lawyer and Personal Assistant to Elder Freddy and the bearer of Elder Freddy’s will.

AHMED

Raphael Agabaje plays the role of the manager. Ahmed is best described as the movie’s sleeping dog.

NKEM

Smart takes up the role of Nkem; the second son of Elder Freddy and he happens to be very concerned about his share of the inheritance.

GBENGA

A.J is the actor who plays the role of Gbenga; one of Elder Freddy`s sons with a Yoruba mother. He is also legally entitled to the Will

AISHA

Binta Yahaya fits well into the Aisha. Her late father’s will favours her in more than a few ways and this does not go down well with some of her siblings.
