Why Ruggedman, Fans Bashed Danny Welbeck

Celebrated rapper and entrepreneur, Ruggedman is one act who takes his football loyalty very seriously and this perhaps explains why he chose to ridicule former Manchester United player, Danny Welbeck who recently joined Arsenal after manager Luis Van Gaal showed him the door at Old Trafford.

Wondering why Ruggedman chose to pick on Welbeck? Well, the rapper's response was to Welbeck's shocking revelation shortly after he joined Arsenal.

Welbeck said he had pictured himself playing in the Arsenal team while still at Manchester United and "couldn't be happier" after his move to the London club.

Ruggedman's first reaction was to laugh out loud and cynically, which he did on his Twitter timeline. He then re-tweeted Welbeck's message with his teeming fans who wasted no time in verbally pummeling the English player.

"As chuffed as I am about this, I'm pretty sure that's like imagining being with another woman, whilst being with your wife," said Jonny Meah, a TV presenter and voice over artiste.

Ruggedman, for the records, is a staunch Manchester United fan, Ian was diplomatic in his assessment of Welbeck's words as he pointed at the player's dishonesty. "Why do they say these obvious lies? Even the Sky generation of fans are not fooled."

"This is like cheating on your girlfriend," Bela Shah said.

On Yanoozaj's timeline, his reaction painted Welbeck in the colour of Judas. "Those words from Welbeck are a dagger right through my heart, even if he doesn't mean it. Screw Welbeck. Over him... We've got ourselves f**king Falcao and Di Maria. Oh my word!”

Ruggedman is a graduate of Political Science from Lagos State University, Ọ̀jọ́.

He began exploring music in 1989, produced his own songs and released two tracks in 1999; both which were well-played on radio.
