Does Monalisa Chinda wish her ex-husband well?

The matrimonial break up between popular Nollywood actress, Monalisa Chinda and her ex-husband, Dejo Richards in 2009 was one news item that hit the Nigerian entertainment industry as hard as a baseball bat striking with precision.

Both parties have however relegated the ugly episode to the background and have moved on with their individual lives.

The fact that Richards recently found love in the warm embrace of another woman and even went ahead to formalize his affection for her by marrying her further buttresses this fact.

Meanwhile, his ex-wife, Chinda was recently reported to have waved her husband’s wedding to a new wife as laughable.

In her reaction to how her husband reportedly showered his new wife with care and praise, the fair-skinned actress recently told ‘Gistmaster’ that “… the whole story is laughable.” She however added that she was happy for the new couple.

Responding to questions that bordered on how she felt when she received the information and ‘Blackberry (BB) PINGs’ on her ex-husband’s wedding, she reportedly smiled and said, “I didn’t feel anyhow. Honestly, I am happy for him. I don’t feel anyhow. Goodluck to them,” she said.

The Globacom ambassador and her ex-husband went their separate ways after a long episode of allegations and counter allegations of greed, battery and other unresolved issues.

While Monalisa disclosed that her ex-husband allegedly relied heavily on her income, Richards averred that his wife’s love for money was intolerable. During their matrimonial upheaval, he had bluntly said his wife had changed for the worse as a result of her new found wealth via her mouth-watering Globacom deal.

In addition, Chinda had equally accused her husband of battery as well as physically maltreating her.
