Shortly after Stereoman escapes death, Samod Biobaku takes a peep


STEREOMAN ESCAPES DEATH

Word reaching Simply Samad has it that Sunday Osakuni popularly known as ‘Stereoman’ came close to joining the likes of late DaGrin, Chidinma (of Koko Mansion) and other dead entertainers last weekend.

Stereoman, who made it to the top of the charts few years ago with his album ‘Ekwe’, said his his new jeep, a brand new Range Rover is presently shapeless.

While returning from an outing on May 14, 2011, he was involved in an automobile accident that left two motorcycles crushed yet he managed to come out of the vehicle unscathed, with a few minor injuries. “My ancestors said it loud and clear that my time has not come,’ he said.

Stereoman, whose newest album, Egheghe, Based on Traditionis due to be out disclosed that he was shocked to his marrows when what he had seen in a dream began to manifest in real life. “I had dreamt the previous night that I had an accident but I thought it was a joke until it happened.’

It was not clear whether Stereoman Ekwe’s plans to launch his new ultra-modern drinking bar and pepper-soup joint along Marwa Road, Alakija area of Lagos would be stalled by the accident but he did not sound happy at all when contacted via his mobile phone. This is understandable for a man like Stereoman whom fortune has been smiling on for some time now. For instance, he had just purchased the jeep that got damaged and completed his new album.

“No wahala! I just dey,” the Warri-grown singer had said; indicating that he would not want to be disturbed at the moment. We hope Stereoman recovers in good time from his episode and resumes thrilling his fans with what he knows best; entertainment.
