Two years ago, the news of popular actor, Demond Elliot and sexy actress, Beverly Naya being an intimate item broke into the consciousness of movie fans across the globe. What began as a mere rumour soon assumed a nerve-wracking story that found it’s way into millions of media platforms across the country. It all began in a movie ‘Home in Exile’ produced by Lancelot Imasuen; where both Elliot and Naya had glaringly interlocked in a passionate kiss during a scene in the movie. The eagle eyes of certain viewers failed to miss this juicy detail and it hardly came as a surprise when tales of their rumoured romance hit the headlines. After granting several interviews where they both denied the rumours and explained that the kiss was merely a professional part of their work with no feelings whatsoever involved, the rumour died down. Well, that was 2 years ago. However, for some strange reason, the development appears to have crawled its way back into the media as sources have once again maintained that the kiss she and Elliot had in the movie did not end in front of the cameras. Perhaps, their role in a new flick, ‘Make Me a Heart’ has a brawny hand in this. ‘Make Me a Heart’ is a passionate story of the battle of lust versus love. Hartley (Desmond Elliot) is a handsome and wealthy Casanova who can have any woman he wants with the use of his charm and sex appeal. He has no respect for women as he is literally spoilt for choice until he meets Angel (Beverly Naya), who becomes his new challenge. Angel’s naïve and mysterious nature intrigues Hartley immensely causing him to accept an emotion that he has never experienced before, love. However, Angel has a detrimental secret, a secret that she hopes to take to her grave. Will Angel be the one to change Hartley? Will her life changing secret destroy her heart or make Hartley a heart of compassion that he’s never had before. Back to the romoured romance; while Beverly had actually dispelled the alleged romance with Desmond, her growing fame has been attributed to the reason why some people have once again, poked into the past of the City People’s Fast rising actress award winner.

Reacting to the rumour that is now being discussed in hushed tones, the bold actress said, “The movie was shot three years ago and how did that conclusion come about? Desmond and I were professionals to the core. That would have made interesting news three years ago and realistically tongues shouldn’t wag now because nothing ever happened. After the ‘steamy’ kiss she had with Desmond Elliot in the movie, she had equally denied having anything intimate with the actor when she said, “Oh no! There’s no such thing going on between us. Desmond and I are complete professionals. Yes! We kissed in the film but that was for the role of Julie and Dave; to be honest, Julie enjoyed the kiss, because she was going to marry Dave in the film so she enjoyed it as she would. Things like that don’t really cross my mind. As an actress, it shouldn’t affect me because it’s just portraying a role so you need to get into character as much as possible so that the audience watching you believes you. So, Beverly enjoying the kiss doesn’t really matter.” According to her, working with Desmond was fun because first of all, he was hilarious and he made her laugh; a factor, which she said that knocked off her fear of working so closely with a star and the fact that he didn’t treat her funny thrilled her a lot because he made her laugh a lot to make her relaxed and comfortable while shooting the film and she believes that if everyone she worked with had that kind of mentality she would be fine. Naya won 2 Zuma Awards for best screen play and best film for tourism and also won 6 out of the 7 Terra Cotta Awards the movie was up for. The very shapely and sexy young babe was born in London and moved to America when she was 6 months old. She moved back when she was 8 years old and has lived in London ever since.
