In what could be best described as a sudden fall from grace to grass, a popular Ghanaian singer, Nana Ekua Amoah popularly known as Mzbel is presently going through what might as well constitute the darkest moment of her career.

For allegedly assaulting a uniformed police officer in Ghana, she and two other accomplices, Emmanuel Paa Kwesi, 31, and Maxwell Mawuli, 32, were arrested by officials of the Motor Transport and Traffic Unit (MTTU) for physically assaulting a uniformed policeman on official duty and promptly charged to court.

She is presently facing two charges of obstructing a police officer from executing his lawful duty and assaulting a police officer.

Shortly after her arrest, the singer, we gathered wept uncontrollably for three days in police cells with tears of regret and trauma coursing down her cheeks.

Unfortunately, the criminal case pending against 31-year-old hip life star at an Accra Motor Court seems far from being over as the docket (a list of cases to be dealt with in a particular court) on the case was conspicuously missing from court at the last hearing.
Though the singer was present in court, the prosecutor, Chief Inspector Seiwah Dora, told the court the docket on the case was not available.
The presiding Magistrate, Plange Brew has however, adjourned the next court hearing to September 13, 2011 after he had sat on the case for just two minutes.
