Why Ini Edo & Oge Okoye remain sworn enemies

Prominent Nollywood actresses, Ini Edo and Oge Okoye are in the news again and this time, it’s about the seemingly endless rift between the two screen divas.

What makes the unending drama between the two quite ironic is the fact that they were once jolly good friends.

However, their friendship appears to have fallen head-first over a cliff as both have over time, remained sworn enemies.

National LIFE gathered that the fight between them began over a disagreement that could have been easily resolved if they had respected the friendship and bond they once shared.

A source squealed that problem started between Ini Edo and Oge Okoye when Ini Edo’s name emerged among the list of celebrities to be endorsed by telecommunication company, Globacom.

We further gathered that Okoye was hurt by the fact that both she and Ini Edo had worked together on ways of securing the endorsement deal yet only Ini Edo’s name made the list while hers was dropped.

As expected, Okoye suspected some sort of foul play especially from her friend and felt betrayed. The fact that quite a number of people began to whisper that Ini Edo had a hand in her misfortune did not help matters.

It is common knowledge that the Globacom deal produced millionaires and Ini Edo automatically joined the league of Globacom’s millionaires and made new friends who belonged in the same class. This naturally further extended the bridge between Ini Edo and Oge Okoye.

Unconfirmed reports had earlier fingered Okoye as the prime suspect in Ini Edo’s abortion scandal; an issue that Ini Edo protected so much to an extent that only someone close to her should have been privy to such information. It didn’t come as a surprise when all fingers pointed towards Okoye and this further thickened the wall of enmity between both actresses.

The latest chapter in their book of hatred was flipped open when Ini Edo was said to be furious over Okoye’s sudden friendship with her husband.

We gathered that shortly after the chocolate-skinned actress got wind of the gist that she ran into Okoye at a movie location in Festac in Lagos and threw caution to the wind by openly accusing Okoye of having an affair with her husband. Okoye we also gathered, did not find this amusing in any way and spat fire at Ini Edo for daring to make such an accusation against her.

Even as the drama between Ini Edo and Okoye continues to deepen, fans and industry watchers silently wonder if both would ever sheath their swords of continue to fuel their revulsion for each other.
