Yaw’s obsession for Genevieve

The recent premiere of Mirror Boy; a movie shot in the U.K and Gambia had its fair share of celebrities who had come to see the highly anticipated picture.

The cast of the movie included two of Nollywood’s finest, Genevieve Nnaji and Osita Iheme.

Interestingly, one of the celebrities whose presence added colour and glam to the event’s red carpet was actor cum on-air-personality, Yaw (born Steve Onu).

The actor was a sight to behold on the red carpet as he conducted himself with the carriage and ease of an eagle cutting through familiar skies.

However, the same could not be said for the actor’s cinema conduct. Rather than give the movie his 100 per cent attention, he spent half the time breaking more than a few cinema etiquettes and chatting.

His admiration of Genevieve’s acting prowess seized him by the jugular all through the movie as he kept making interjectory remarks on Genevieve’s ability to breathe life into scripts.

Genevieve’s score sheet in the movie was indeed commendable but Yaw’s approbation and reception of her skills was cast in a new light as the actor could hardly without commending her in every scene.

Towards the end of the movie, Yaw succeeded in winning a number of fans for Genevieve especially those on the same row with him.

However, besides this minor flaw, he was a charmer all through the duration of the premiere.
