Olu Maintain hits Kaffy below the belt

When Olu Maintain and Kaffy were called upon to announce the nominees for ‘Hip Hop Revelation of the Year’ for the 2011 edition of The Headies, a quick glance across the hall revealed faces that stared at the stage in anticipation of capturing Kaffy’s growing baby bump first hand. True to their expectation, Kaffy emerged with her pretty face and her protruding belly. Many admitted how beautiful she looked within the rows of their seats and rather than focus on the task at hand, Olu chose to dance tango with the Devil by teasing Kaffy endlessly about her baby bump. His first line sent the hall reeling with laughter and he could have drawn the line there but the ‘Yahoozee’ crooner appeared motivated by the same voice that sent the Devil out of the heaven as he sustained his jabs at Kaffy who tried as much as she could to deflect his personal blows. When he had satisfied the horned side of his personality, he finally disengaged and would hardly let Kaffy get a word into the microphone despite the fact that they were supposed to share the task of announcing the nominees and eventual winner. Olu must learn to know when to let go and not always go for an over-kill.
