Sir Shina Peters plays his ace
The 2011 edition of The Headies was a night veteran singer, Sir Shina Peters will not be forgetting in a hurry as it proved to be loaded with stars and glad tidings for him.
SSP as he is fondly called picked up the Special Recognition Award. While receiving his award, SSP reminded the audience how his career began in 1958. “I stated my career at 10 and today, I have 6 grand children,” he said. He dedicated the award to his lovers all over the world and turned the Exhibition Hall of the Eko Hotel and Suites into a dancing hall with the performance of his classic hits. He was visibly loved and hailed by the crowd; now on their feet and undoubtedly won the best performance of the night. For SSP, he simply stole the show and was on point in every compartment; with his dancers working their waist and backsides to the beat.
