Who is KAREN IGHO trying to fool?

Is Karen Igho lonely?
By Samod Biobaku

Big Brother Amplified winner, Karen Igho has found her way into the headlines again and this time, the story has nothing to do with triumph. Rather, the model appears to have fallen into the error of assuming that her new found celebrity status is perhaps a walk in the park.
How else does one explain her recent attempt to lure her Facebook fans to her Twitter account by claiming that she has maxed out her friends limit on Facebook and as a result cannot accept any more friend request on the popular online social networking website.
The busty Big Brother Amplified winner appears not to be familiar with the popular saying: “You can fool some of the people all of the time or all the people some of the time but you can never fool all the people all the time.”

Ironically, Igho clearly does not share this school of thought as made manifest in the falsehood in her declaration.
“I have reached my friends limit on Facebook can't accept any more friend request but you can follow on twitter @karen_Igho,” she had written on her Facebook wall.
First, it is an established fact that the maximum number of friends a single account can accommodate on Facebook is five thousand (5, 000). By implication, the moment your number of friends reaches 5, 000, the user can no longer add any additional friend. At the point, there are two options that open up to the user are to either delete former friends and replace them with new ones or to open another account entirely like most celebrities have learnt to do.
However, in Karen’s case, she has told a blatant lie. If she wants her Facebook fans to migrate to her Twitter account by following her, she should appeal to them to do so rather than claim she has maximized her number of friends on Facebook and cannot add anymore friends.
A visit to her Facebook account revealed that she has a total of two thousand and forty one (2, 041) friends contrary to the five thousand (5, 000) she claims to have.
As expected, Nigerians have raised an eyebrow to this discovery and have begun to play with several permutations and scenarios that could be responsible for Igho’s action.
Is Igho lonely? Is she desperate for attention? Is she in need of proper publicity guidance or is she outright confused? Well, all these are questions on the lips of the online community and we’re keeping our singers crossed on this issue.
To further buttress the fact that Igho might not be lying but has clearly manipulated the truth, a random visit to the Facebook account of a cross section of Nigerian celebrities revealed that indeed Igho is yet to maximize her friend-adding capacity on Facebook.
For the records, popular music producer, ID Cabasa has a total of four thousand nine hundred and seventy one (4, 971) friends on Facebook. Popular Nollywood actress and singer, Anita Joseph has 4, 485 friends on Facebook. Amstel Malta Box office (AMBO) girl, Uche Odoh has 4, 833 friends, Big Brother Nigeria winner, Katung Aduwak has 4, 862 friends, Afro Beat star, Seun Kuti has 4, 994 friends, Star Nollywood actress, Stephanie Okereke has 4, 843 friends while screen goddess, Genevieve Nnaji has a total of 4, 025 Facebook friends.
All these are clear pointers that Igho is yet to utilise even half of her friend base. The question still stands – What is Karen Igho up to?
