There is something much worse than Boko Haram or Jonathan…

Meet NIGERIA's elite League of Killers
By Samod Biobaku

Oh dear God! Just when I was beginning to believe that there could be nothing worse than the life-threatening activities of the Boko Haram sect and the self-destructive machinations of President Goodluck Jonathan, I have stumbled on something which shatters my delicate heart into a thousand broken pieces.

In the last 10 months, Nigeria has had to contend with a myriad of problems. These problems are as numerous as the number of thieving government officials that have since thrown this country into turmoil and chaos.
However, among all these problems, two of them clearly stand out as the most notorious at the very moment of writing this article. The first being the Boko Haram sect while the second being a president with more headache that the individual strands of hair on a gorilla’s body.
Indeed, most Nigerians are aware of these grey areas and even the blind would testify to the paint of tragedy that the nation has been splashed with.
There however, remains another enemy of the nation that many are yet to fully become acquainted with. The fact that this enemy does not walk in the open like its Boko Haram and Jonathan cousin makes it even more dangerous. This enemy has come to be known by a plethora of names all over the world but is prominently recognized by its sheer savagery, blood-thirsty nature, concealed operations, desperate ways, evil schemes, covert strategies, political affiliations and ultimately, its relentless quest for power and authority.
Ladies and gentle, take your seat, sip some fresh fruit juice and open up your eyes and hearts as we introduce you to ‘the Nigerian!’ Yes! The Nigerian! It is on record that very few in the world can rival the Nigerian when it comes to diabolic appetites, dark formations, greedy ways and unrivaled despotism.
Dear reader, has it ever occurred to you that perhaps, there is more to the Boko Haram and subsidy brouhaha than meets the eye?
We have all witnessed first hand, the extreme measures many would go to in order to perpetrate their selfish and self-centered ambitions.
Earlier today, the Boko Haram sect released a statement absolving itself from specific violent attacks in the country that led to the loss of innocent lives.
The message read thus:

“The spokesman of Jama'atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda'awati Wal-Jihad; otherwise called BOKO HARAM has refuted claims by the media on the recent killings and bombings of churches in Nigeria saying their Jihad is not against the Christians and their places of worship. He denied the Christmas day bombing and other attacks carried out in the country all in their name. He also denied the statement that they asked Christians to leave the Northern part of Nigeria noting that even the prophet of Allah lived with non believers and they had the right to worship. He said they believe they are fighting a just course as the government has been attacking them. He added that they therefore have the right to defend themselves. He made it clear that they have only killed security operatives, which includes the police and army in self defense. Finally, he said all Christians in the North should not panic, as Islam prohibits attack in places of worship. It is ‘haram’ to burn or attack a church even during jihad he said. Our prophet told us: do not attack the innocent, women, children and the old; only fight back in self defense. This is the teaching of our prophet and that's exactly what we are doing he said. He also described as true reports that said they had plans to attack protesters. It’s not true as they are in total support of the peoples struggle and behind the Nigerian people.”

Many of us cannot be automatically cowered into swallowing this hook line and sinker but we also know that there is no smoke without fire.
The political plot and maneuvering of certain Nigerians who seemingly appear not to be within Nigeria’s official political cast has suddenly become more than just a whisper.
We know that President Jonathan has enemies; especially outside the walls of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). While this might seem perfectly normal, a grave danger lurks within the hallways of the nation’s political landscape when one silently considers the presence of enemies within the very fabric of the PDP itself.
Over the years, we have witnessed how friends, allies and seeming loyalists tragically turn around to adorn the garb of the Biblical Judas Iscariot. The story of late M.K.O and his Social Democratic Party (SDP) readily come to mind as a reference point.
The Boko Haram sect might have allegedly murdered much more than a few innocent Nigerians and as a result, become a source of assault by the aggrieved populace but how then would one describe the activities of those who hypothetically engage the services of fellow vile monsters and beast with a contract of concealing rifles, high caliber guns and explosives and opening fire on innocent Nigerians in places of worship; going as far as attacking churches – such sacrilege can only be tolerated by the Almighty himself for we know how hurriedly man exacts justice and punishment.
These cruel attacks I recently gathered could be the handwork of enemies either within or outside the PDP. If this is true, then how far do these Nigerians intend to go to score political points in order to achieve their political objectives?
If there exists any difference between the Boko Haram and these class of Nigerians then one of such differences might be the fact that while the Boko Haram openly makes certain collective demands at an extreme cost, the other category of enemies of peace and humanity take lives for two reasons; to make the present government or whoever is in charge of resolving the resulting conflict appear extremely incompetent and secondly, to order the death and execution of fellow Nigerians to cement pieces of their political agendas.
Nigerians, if we do now know that we have butchers and blood-thirsty men occupying seats of power, how do we rate the degree of evils and which is bad, worse and worst among the Boko Haram, President Jonathan and the ‘league of killers’ that have just been identified.
I’ll leave the rest of the missing pieces in the hands of Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora and others who have observed the unfolding catastrophe of the Nigerian system.
