D'BANJ: The Modern Day Judas

I remember precisely how Dapo Oyebanjo popularly known as D’banj looked the very first time I saw him. He was clad in a blue jean, a dotted white shirt, a black jacket and white leather shoes and of course Don Jazzy was there with him. This was almost a decade ago.

We chatted for a while and I couldn’t but marvel at D’banj’s restless nature as he kept chattering away complete with his trademark dramatics.

After our chat, D’banj, Don Jazzy and others present took a walk outside; where Don Jazzy presented D’banj with a gift; a brand new BMW.

In excitement, D’banj had literally jumped on the hood of the car and sat on it (though I also remember how he had jumped off it as quickly as he had gotten on it saying he had no idea that the hood of the car had gotten so hot that it would scorch his bum even through his jean pant).

Well, that was many years ago when the going was good between D’banj and Don Jazzy.

A few weeks ago, Nigerians and music lover across the globe were greeted with the shocking rumour of a possible break-up between both D’banj and Don Jazzy.

Many had instantaneously waved this aside as nothing more than another rumour or at best, another extreme publicity stunt.

However, over the weeks, what began as a rumour suddenly acquired a realistic dimension less than a week ago when an interview published by Ebony Magazine surfaced.

In the interview, D’banj had carelessly claimed ownership of Nigeria’s most enterprising record label, Mo Hits Records – a move that naturally altered the original structure of Mo Hits Records.

Ironically, Mo Hits publicist had insisted that the magazine had quoted the artiste out of context, which quickly brings to mind a not-so-distant situation where D’banj had similarly accused Sahara reporters of quoting him out of context during the Jonathan, fuel subsidy removal saga.

Today (March 17, 2012), Don Jazzy broke the deafening silence when he tweeted what clearly appeared to be the nail to the ‘coffin of doubt’ in the hearts of fans of the Mo Hits enterprise.

In his tweet, Don Jazzy went thus:

“Good day friends. So sorry I have been away for long as I have been going through some changes in my life”

“Some of the rumours you have all heard recently are sad but true”

“It is with heavy heart that I announce the end of a long Era and the beginning of a new One”

“The way forward now is to make sure I keep bringing you guys more of the beautiful music y’all love to dance to”

“And to end the old era, I will be donating the proceeds of my production catalogue from day 1 till date to 5 charity organisations. Thanks. IDJA”

Well, when D’banj got down with Snoop Dogg for the remix of Mr. Endowed, Nigerians excitedly celebrated him and saluted the business and production skills of Don Jazzy.

When he secured the deal with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D Music, once again, Nigerians celebrated his success and awaited results that would give enemies of Nigerian music something to truly worry about.

However, rather than good news from teaming up with G.O.O.D Music, what we got was something much worse – high level betrayal – the kind that goes on in political circles (Let’s ask men like Caesar, M.K.O Abiola and the Spartan King who led 300 to war).

In his new music video for his hit single, ‘Oliver Twist,’ D’banj glaringly swapped Don Jazzy with Kanye West. This might have been alright if he had done so on a temporary basis (in the interest of Mo Hits as well as his) but the note of permanence that accompanied the musical tag team instantly broke millions of hearts; mine inclusive.

The question of how Don Jazzy would cope with the loss of a D’banj has surfaced in discussions and online reactions but many would agree with me that if Don Jazzy could transform a regular artiste like D’banj into a superstar that he has become today, then we have nothing to worry about.

Another element that has me shaking my head in sympathy for D’banj is his greedy antecedents or have we forgotten how he ran into troubled waters for asking for an upward review of his deal with telecoms giant, Globacom. Also, details of how he was fired by Globacom for allegedly demanding N4m per show.

Also on the cards is D’banj’s religious affiliation from this point onwards. Now that he has openly assigned himself to Kanye West; a prominent face of the Illuminati cult, will he still attend church on Sundays like most Christians do and then even if he does, will it be the Church of the Devil?

It is no longer a secret that Kanye West, Jay Z, Rihanna, Beyonce, Will Smith, Denzel Washington, Chris Brown, Obama and an endless list of America’s finest have been whispered to have sturdy ties with the Illuminati and of course if D’banj has chosen to run with the dogs, he must also be ready to sink his canines into unimaginable places.

For those who not know, the Illuminati and its members in this context refers to all of the secret societies and global elitist clubs. There are literally 100′s of such clubs. One, which stands at the pinnacle of all secret societies, is known as ‘The Brotherhood.’ Nobody has ever left this organization and shared the secrets…until recently.

Some of the most prevalent secret societies are: The Illuminati, The Freemasons, Skull and Bones, the Brotherhood, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission, the Roundtable Group, Bilderberg Group, the Royal Institute of International Affairs, the Power Elite, the Bohemian Club, the Young Presidents Organization and dozens of other such organizations.

Although most of these secret societies are not so secret, what goes on inside them is kept secret. Many high level Illuminati members are also members of the most elite organization of them all: The Brotherhood. The Brotherhood keeps its very existence secret. The vast majority of the world’s billionaires are members of this “top secret” secret society. Members of many secret societies get invited to join The Brotherhood after they reach the highest level in their respective society. Past members of The Brotherhood include Andrew Carnegie, Aristotle Onassis and Henry Ford to name a few.

These types of organizations were organized hundreds even thousands of years ago for the purpose of networking amongst royal families, religious leaders and heads of industry…as well as the freethinkers who opposed them. Throughout history, wealthy elite families only married members of other wealthy elite families.

These families (generally 17) are still in charge of society today through many fronts. High level government officials, CEO’s of major multinational conglomerate corporations, heads of colleges, many religious leaders, military generals, titans of industry are all chosen and put in place by the specific design of Illuminati members.

From the production of food and basic necessities to commodities, to housing, government, medicine, to all industrial needs and banking institutions, to entertainment; this small group of people pull the strings to orchestrate world affairs to their liking.

Their main goal is to create a one world government with a slavery class to support them. Illuminati members strive to reduce the global population to 500 million and lower the standards of living in all civilized nations.

The effects of this one world government are becoming more and more apparent. We see the pooling of nations via the United Nations.

For example, the European Union, the upcoming North American Union, and the Asian Union and African Union are all coming to fruition through a shrewd design to divide and rule. Presidents of countries are picked months in advance. Citizens are made to believe that they have voting power, when in fact democracy is just an illusion.

All major global affairs are carefully planned and thought out by these Illuminati members. World events that most people see as chance or coincidence are actually a deliberate plan to dis-empower people and gain more control. A few examples of this are: the 911 “terrorist attacks” (which were a false flag operation designed to pass the patriot act among other things) and also the Indonesian tidal wave, hurricane Katrina, and the recent Haiti earthquakes were all caused by HAARP technology invented by Tesla.

Illuminati

Evidence of Illuminati or “illuminated ones” or “all knowing ones” is apparent throughout society. The pyramid and single eye design on the US one dollar bill is a prime example of Illuminati symbolism. The single eye or “all seeing eye” can be found everywhere in society especially in marketing and entertainment…from the winking eye logo of the Pepsi Company, to the pop culture music princess Lady Gaga covering one eye in nearly every photo to the America online logo and more.

Illuminati ran corporations as well as religion and government being infiltrated are all too common.

Much knowledge is available and understood about Illuminati members, however the vast majority of the population is completely unaware of what is going on. There is a war between good verses evil, between tyranny and suppression verses individual freedom. Awareness is needed on a massive scale in order for good to prevail in this final war of the worlds.

Well, now that we know what the Illuminati represents and where D’banj’s loyalty now lies, we might end up more questions than answers.

Just in case you didn’t know, in an interview with MTV, Kanye West openly acknowledged the fact that a lot of people have raised questions over his affiliation with the Devil through his lyrics and when asked to comment on this, he said:

"There's this line where I say, 'I sold my soul to the devil, that's a crappy deal,' and all these people said, 'What you mean you sold your soul to the devil?' But when I say it, I'm saying, when I allow other people's ideals to interfere with what I know is true to myself, that's the devil," West explained. "So, it's like, people talking mess on the blogs is the devil or ...trying to call me names, that's what the devil is. And me thinking twice about what it is that's really in my heart because of what people's reaction would be is me selling my soul to the devil.”

Did I hear you take a deep breathe? Well, you might as well take many more.

Eventually, D’banj will respond to the very many questions that we all have for him and however he decides to answer these questions, one question no one might be bold enough to personally ask him is how it feels to be in the same shoes with the man who betrayed Jesus Christ; the one whose accursed name has today become synonymous with betrayal – he with hands permanently dripping with blood - the one notoriously known as Judas.
