MERCY confronts 2 FACE
'Will your marriage last?'
On February 14, 2012, rave singer and father of five, 2 Face
Idibia stunned the world by giving his long-time girlfriend, Annie Macaulay a
gift that she would never forget; a wedding proposal.
Of course, this received precisely the kind of attention it
deserved, an overwhelming barrage of mixed reactions from Nigerian fans both
within the country and in the Diaspora as well as from fans spread across the
globe.
Perhaps, if 2 Face were an artiste whose sexual preference
strolled within the confines of either abstinence or protected sex, then the
news of his proposal to Annie (as she is fondly called) might have remained
with the halls of 100 per cent charm, adoration and the beauty of love devoid
of complications.
However, 2 Face’s sexual reputation has over the years
knocked on the doors of controversy, condemnation, criticism and debate as made
manifest by his ability to impregnate and sire five children from three women
including Annie Macaulay.
Interestingly, as at the time of filing this report, one of
is ‘baby mamas’ remains pregnant with baby number 6 from the sexually
intimidating figure; despised by some and loved by many more – 2 Face.
However, while Nigerians all over the world have continued
to bask in the euphoria of the controversy that has trailed his proposal to
Annie, one of the nations’s rising models, Mercy Obanla has asked a question so
pertinent, more then a few Nigerians would gladly buy a ticket to watch him
provide an answer.
Obanla who is presently based in the Republic of Benin
recently asked the frank question when she threw a poser at the multi-award
winning singer: “Will your marriage last?” she asked.
While many await 2 Face’s answer to this question, she also
went ahead to describe her general perception of 2 Face, what she would do is
she ever found herself alone in the same room with 2 face for a whole night,
what she would say to Annie Macaulay if the actress had been her blood sister
and other interesting things.
When asked a direct question on whether she likes 2 Face or
not, Obanla had this to say:
“I don’t dislike 2 Face because among all Nigerian artistes,
he stands out especially when it comes to making good music.”
On a more dramatic note, it was quite interesting to know
what this gorgeous model would do is she ever found herself alone in the same
room with a man whose sexual reputation precedes him and she responded:
“On a normal day, I wouldn't want to share the same room with
him for a whole night but if I had no choice, I would. After all, he is a human
being.”
Well, while many would be quick to say that this is easier
said than done, others would ask what she would say to 2 Face while alone with
him behind those closed doors. To this, Obanla said:
“I would only tell him one thing – ‘Don’t try to make any
stupid move.’ This means no sex.”
On a final note, we decided to ask the dark-skinned model
what she would have advised Annie Macaulay if the actress had been her sister.
On this note, Obanla exploded:
“She shouldn't have said yes to 2 Face’s marriage proposal.
This is a guy that impregnated her and left her to impregnate three other
women. Come to think of it, that kind of marriage won't last - an actress and a
top Nigerian artiste…”

That's a stupid conclusion! Even if he has sired 12 kids! He's not a baby! He knew what he was doing Popping d question, he must have gone over it for months! Plus do u want him to Live in Sin all his Life? He needed to settle down and he had to pick one of d exisring Baby Mama's! Its not in our place to judge them! There are men who have made women do 20 abortions! So what's d diff? Stop being Hypocritical! May their Union be Blessed in Jesus name. Amen.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous, like you, we all love 2 Face but like i told a friend a few days ago, the dude wears 2 crowns - 1. As Naija's most talented act and 2. perhaps the most controversial when it comes to matters relating to things below the belt. The way i see it, Mercy has only asked a simply question on the lips of millions of fans. The last time i checked, a question always takes a no or a yes, shebi?
