16-year old to govern Lagos for one day
Sixteen years old Lilian Ogbuefi, a student of Lagos State Senior Model College, Kankon, Badagry, is to lead the state as governor for one day having emerged as the winner of the 2012 Spelling Bee competition.
Ogbuefi defeated 56 other contestants at the grand finale of the competition, which was held at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Alausa-Ikeja, Lagos.
Speaking at the event, the state’s Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Olayinka Oladunjoye, said part of her prizes for emerging winner in the competition, is an opportunity to govern Lagos State for one-day. She added that the 1st and 2nd runner up will serve as members of the cabinet.
