BROCK LESNAR takes on JOHN CENA - Who would you bet your money on?

After the surprise appearance by Brock Lesnar on last week's WWE Raw, this week's episode became one of the most anticipated in a long time. And Vince McMahon did not disappoint.

The very popular cable television series started with a recap of last week's shocking debut of the former UFC star.
But before Lesnar could get on the microphone and explain his actions, he was interrupted by his adversary John Cena. Suddenly, Cena awakened a sleeping giant by slapping Brock Lesnar straight across the face.
A wild brawl ensued between the two combatants. The locker room, including all the heels and babyfaces, ran to the squared circle to separate the two vicious athletes.

When the dust settled, John Cena had a blood gushing from a cut in his lip. On instant replay, observers saw the vicious right hand that caused the injury.
If this is how the angle between John Cena and Brock Lesnar is going to be, then I am extremely excited. The two main event performers had so much intensity in their three minute brawl that it sold me on the upcoming pay per view.
And moreover, the injury John Cena sustained adds an element of truth and reality not often seen in professional wrestling. It makes the audiences believe in the story being told. And it also gives hope to morbid curiosity.
A little part of every wrestling fan always hopes that they might see something "real" happen.
For their part, the WWE could not have played the story more advantageously.
They recognized that many UFC fans would tune in for Brock Lesnar's debut on WWE Raw tonight.
What better way to keep those fans interested than conceiving a realistic all-out brawl that ends in a bloodied John Cena.

It was a perfect set up. After all, UFC fans have a warped sense of conceit. They have a tendency that they are above wrestling fans.
But this locker room clearing brawl gave both men some much needed credentials. It was the perfect way to keep the UFC fans from changing the channel.
This is just the first night in the one year deal that Brock Lesnar signed last week.
If this is what wrestling buffs can expect out of Brock Lesnar, than the 5,000,000 dollars the WWE spent to acquire his services was well worth it. I am looking forward to the future.
