Cultists remove human parts from graves in Kaduna community


Cultists have besieged Jagindi, Godogodo Chiefdom, a community in JamaĆ” Local Government Area of Kaduna State, and are removing human parts from graves.
The trend according to people of the community has been going on for some time now. “Cultists have invaded our area, removing parts of dead people from their graves. It has been going-on for a while now and our traditional rulers have informed security agencies to arrest this menace,” a resident of the area said.
The district head of the area, Danlami Barde, who spoke to our correspondent, described the incident as unfortunate.
“We have been meeting in our community to see how these things can be brought to an end. So far, several graves have been dug up,” he said.
A resident of the area, Dauda Bulus on his part, said, “My sister’s parts were removed two days after her remains were buried. We are calling on security agencies to come to our aid”.
Police spokesman in the state, Aminu Lawan said there was no official report by the community concerning the incident, but that the police division in the area has been ordered to commence investigation.
