Katsina uncovers 3,000 redundant workers

Three thousand redundant workers have been discovered in Katsina State, chairman of the state’s Local Government Civil Service Commission, Alhaji Abdulkarim Abubakar has said.

Alhaji Abdulkarim  told newsmen yesterday that the discovery was made during the data capturing exercise carried out in the state. He added that government has set up a committee to visit Daura, Katsina and Funtua senatorial districts for a verification exercise.
“Any worker that is not at his/her place of work during the visit will be presumed to be a ghost worker, and his/her name will be deleted from government’s payroll,” he said.
