MR IDEAL NIGERIA pageant gathers momentum
On June 9, 2012, all roads would lead to the
prestigious Spicery Hotel in Oniru Estate in Lagos as the outgoing Mr Ideal
Nigeria, Ayotunde Ajiboye (of Kwara State) paves way for his successor; the new 'MR Ideal
Nigeria 2012.'
For this year’s edition, there are 37 finalists including
Mr Ideal FCT.
Apart from Abuja, other participating states include Akwa
Ibom, Yobe and Plateau State; who are making their debut in the competition
this year.
August 2011 witnessed the start of the search for Mr
Ideal Nigeria representatives. What began with Niger State has since expanded
into 25 states across the country! And these have all added to the anticipation
of the pageant this year.
Mr Ideal Nigeria is the search for Nigeria’s perfect
man - a Mr Ideal is a unique blend of a visually appealing physique combined
with an entrepreneurial mind.
This individual gets to start his own business and represents
Nigeria at the Mister Earth world pageant later in 2012.
The reigning Mr Ideal Nigeria, Ayotunde Ajiboye who
just returned from his trip to India is the CEO of ‘Clipse Entertainment' and
has produced two artistes since he emerged winner.
The online voting system has been scheduled for May 1,
2012 at www.mridealnigeria.com
while preliminary judging would be held on June 5, 2012. These elements
eventually determine who makes it into this year’s list of top 16 contestants
who would compete at the grand finale on June 9, 2012. This year, the
contestants will compete in three categories; ‘Beach Wear,’ ‘Evening Suits’ and
‘Questions’ for the finals.
According to the President, Mr Ideal Nigeria, Ayotunde
Fabamwo, 2012 has witnessed the best line up we have had in years and we promise
an electrifying show. “Mr Ideal Nigeria is committed to empowering young men. We
are not selling a dream. We are building a future for the young men who are
contesting in our pageant. We are confident that the new Mr Ideal Nigeria would
benefit the country and move us all a step closer towards building a greater
Nigeria.”
In the face of the recent spate of violence in the
country, this year’s pageant would be raising money the ‘Project Friendship
Initiative;’ a NGO that promotes and advocates for peace in the country.
The winner would also go on to become the ambassador
to the ‘Goge Foundation,’ which is run by Goge Africa TV.
The Mr Ideal
Nigeria was first held in Akure in the year 2010 with Mr Kwara winning both the
2010 and 2011 edition.

ReplyDeleteIt's alright and it's much closer than you think. *wink*
ReplyDeleteLovely,all the best
ReplyDeleteNice one. i honestly hope this can eventually go on to become as huge as the MBGN. I know that the MBGN has had a lot of controversy especially as regards contestants sleeping with judges and all of that. I'm sure the Mr Ideal contest would be devoid of that or is there anyone who thinks otherwise? Good job though.
ReplyDeleteLet the best man win
ReplyDeleteHope this will be devoid of politics and behind the scene scheming?
