...Security tightened in Abuja

Following the warning alert by the United States embassy in Nigeria over planned attacks, security agencies have beefed up security in some parts of Abuja.

Daily Trust reporter, who went round the city, observed increased security measures around the city.

Apart from the police road blocks and check points along major roads into the city, armed security agents were seen keeping vigil on public buildings and major hotels.

Road to the NNPC towers was blocked and vehicles were thoroughly checked before being admitted into the building.
