Big Brother 10 winner Sophie Reade has revealed she turned to drugs after being dumped by footballer Mario Balotelli, and has now been diagnosed as clinically depressed.

The 23-year-old model was brokenhearted after the Manchester City striker cheated on her with her best friend Faye-Evette Betts.

Sophie has now revealed, via Twitter, she is getting professional help to help her fight her depression after her 'shameful' dalliance with drugs.



The glamour model, who won Big Brother in 2009, said: 'S** happens and I've been declared depressed but I shall become a stronger from this #respect #staystrong.What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

'Feel so much better to be getting help now, did a lot of stuff I'm not proud of to make myself feel better and makes it worse! Helps to talk.'

Asked by one of her followers if she every took drugs, she replied: '@dannyteall yep and its

She added: 'Depression doesn't get taken seriously enough. Take the help that is offered and they'll have you back on form in no time.'

Last year Sophie broke down after she Manchester City player Ballotelli betrayed her with her best friend.

Sophie took to her Twitter page then to blast Mario and Faye.

She posted: 'Would like to let everyone know @FayeEvette is a s*** and slept with the guy I was seeing! What a friend and welcome 2011.'

She added: 'Mario Balotelli is a ****er!!'

She said at the time: 'I feel utterly betrayed by Mario. I really cared for him and he insisted he felt the same way about me. I would never normally date a footballer because they have such bad reputations. Mario seemed very different.'

Describing the events of the night, the glamour model said: ‘We were in his downstairs bedroom when I noticed Mario and Faye weren't there.

‘I got suspicious because his friend seemed to be standing at the door as if to stop me coming out. I ran upstairs to the living room to look for Mario but he wasn't there.

'Then I came down again to see Faye coming out of the other bedroom. I knew something had happened.’

‘I confronted him but then one of his friends came up to me and said, 'I think it's about time you left.' I was literally shoved out of the flat with no shoes on and left barefoot in a little black sequined party dress in the freezing foyer. It was 4am and I had to call my mum and ask her to pick me up. I was devastated.’

Her explicit comments were removed from her page but she posted several messages about coming to terms with the breakup. Her former friend Faye never responded to the allegations.

Sophie posted to one well wisher: 'Thank you!! I'm sorry to be depressing, its just I have such low self esteem after everything that happened.'

Sophie has been previously linked to Dane Bowers, Gary Lineker's son George and fellow Big Brother contestant Kris Donnelly.
