Real Madrid and Barcelona Kicked Off Pre-Season

It was as if they had never been away. Barcelona and Real Madrid returned to action when they kicked off their pre-season campaigns on Tuesday, albeit with a few notable absences. And both teams were swiftly back to winning ways.
Barca, without the injured Lionel Messi, overcame Hamburg 2-1 in Tito Vilanova's first game in charge, while Real Madrid thrashed Oviedo 5-1 with a team made up mostly of young players and still missing their Spain stars, who are set to return to training on Saturday after winning Euro 2012 at the beginning of July.
