Big Brother Africa Winner, UTI Fetes 67 Widows

TV presenter, model and actor, Uti Nwachukwu hosted 67 widows at a one day charity event at the Calabar Hall, Surulere, Lagos.

The programme saw the former Big Brother Africa winner dole out gift items to 67 widows. On the significance of the number ‘67,’ a member of the planning committee, Ify Okeke says, “We chose 67 widows so as to be a source of blessing to them and the second reason is, Uti’s mum who is also a widow, is 67.

We would have chosen 30 because Uti is clocking 30 but his desire to bless the widows and celebrate his mother overrides his own personal need to celebrate”

Okeke, who is also an actress adds, “if you look around, some widows don’t have people to help them despite having children. Some don’t even have children. Uti is trying to put smiles on people’s faces, especially widows; God has been good to him, he has to reciprocate by being good to others.”
