Nigeria Leaves 2012 Olympics With ZERO Medal [REJOINDER]

Contrary to a report to published a while ago on Nigeria winning a medal at the London Games, this is to assert that Nigeria did not win any medal at the 2012 Olympics event.

Our attention was drawn to an error in the medal table we followed and we would like to set the records straight and reaffirm Nigeria's failure to clinch a single medal at the games and also add that the nation stands out as the only country that failed to pick any medal at the games.

Countries like Kuwait, Tajikistan, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Bahrain and Afghanistan all picked one bronze medal in addition to having one silver medal each.

We apologise for the error as we had earlier stated that Mariam Usman picked up a bronze medal in the female weightlifting event at the games.

Below are the correct names of winners from the female weightlifting event at the London Games.

China’s Zhou Lulu won gold and set a world record in the competition.

Russia’s Tatiana Kashirina won the silver, just 1kg behind, while Armenia’s Hripsime Khurshudyan took the bronze with a total of 294 kg.
