Nigeria's First 3D Movie, MYSTERY BEADS | As Egor Efiok And Frank Adekunle Macaulay Come To Town

For Egor Efiok and Frank Adekunle Macaulay, departing from the norm and tradition may not be planned but the dynamic duo chose to do something different and perhaps extraordinary when they decided to shoot a 3D movie, a first of its kind in the Nigerian clime titled 'Mystery Beads.'
Mystery Bead is a paranormal movie with a deep storyline and twist. A movie which could come across to a person as an epic but has a beautiful mix or use of modern technology in it. It tells the story of Adidi Ata Ebua, a fictitious creation of the producer and Atim Okpo Ebot, a female water goddess and a he-goat at the same time.

The movie features Hollywood actor, Emeka Amene (NCSI, Angel), one of Ghollywood’s finest actresses, Jackie Appiah, Anthony Monjaro (pilot in Last Flight to Abuja), Julian Nnadi (Gulder's Ultimate search). Other stars of the movie include Ime Bishop Umo, Davies Bassey, Joseph Akahome, Frederick Leonard, Solomon Akiyesi, G-lory (singer), Ani Iyoho, Chelsea Eze, Shedrach Nwora, Belinda Effah, Captain Cassie Idagbo, Eric Anderson, Sammy Young, Ani Iyoho and others.

The director of the movie, Frank Adekunle Macaulay is a director who knows his onions; he is an international director and cinematographer, who was the DOP for Gugu E Michael's award winning movie, Dangerous Men and Unge's War. Dangerous Men is picking up an award for BEST AFRICAN FILM, BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY and BEST SCREENPLAY at the World Music and Independent Film Festival Hollywood (WMIF) to be held in Washington DC this month and Unge's War has been nominated for best film and best cinematography at the NAFCA African Movie Awards in September 2012, in North Carolina, USA.

 The producer of the movie, Egor Efiok is the CEO and founder of E4 PR, born in London and based there. She read Education Studies at the University of Greenwich, England and she was a teacher for eight years. She is a peoples' person, a self-confessed workaholic and a perfectionist. Apart from Artiste Management, she is also a talent spotter.

SYNOPSIS: Emeka (Emeka Amene) was born and raised in the US. His Ibibio mum, Idara, died under mysterious circumstances while giving birth to him, so he was raised by his father, Mr Chukwu (Shedrach Nwora), and his white American step-mum.

He is studying African History at the University of Arizona and part of his course requires him to go to an African University on a one year exchange programme. During the course of his research online, he meets Jackie (Jackie Appiah), a History student from the University of Calabar. They bond, flirt and chat a lot on Skype and inevitably fall in love.

One day, Jackie tells him about a bi-sexual lady at her University called, Timma (singer, G-lory), that fancied her and was always making passes at her. She went on to state that about a fortnight ago, Timma cornered her in the ladies room at a fast food joint. She noticed beads on Timma's waist and in order to dissuade Timmas' amorous advances, told her that if she gave her the beads only then would she sleep with her; to her surprise and amazement, Timma took the beads off her waist and promptly put them around Jackie's waist.

Unbeknownst to Jackie, recent US returnee, Effiom (Julian Nnadi), the delinquent son of an exorcist, Mr Henshaw (Anthony Monjaro), had earlier stolen the beads from a museum. The beads belong to Adidi Ata Ebua and to worsen matters, Adidi Ata Ebua has a grudge against the Henshaw family, which dates back to the previous century.
