SEYI SHAY: Originality Meets Pure Talent in 'LOVING YOUR WAY' [WATCH VIDEO HERE]

I have always stated over and over again that a truly talented singer does not need to have her song permanently cued on repeat and listened to about a million times before one begins to appreciate not just the artiste but the quality of music being churned out.
One singer who has been able to snatch me off my regular order of creative tasks is Nigeria's UK/American based recording artiste, song writer and producer, Seyi Shay (born Deborah Oluwaseyi Joshua).

From her name, i could tell that she was Nigerian but nothing in her name or the titled of her musical video, 'Loving Your Way' prepared me for the enormity of talent, energy, style and melody that was about to hit me and eventually it did.

After staying glued to the TV screen throughout the duration of her her video, i was left with the feeling one gets after listening or watching a video where the song has been well interpreted, the lyrics, perfectly delivered and the singer showing off that natural touch and extra that has seen the likes of Asa, 2 Face, Toya deLaZy, Darey and many others remain in the forefront of their musical sojourn towards melodic greatness.

With two brands new singles, Loving Your Way and Erawo dropping this week, UK/American based recording artist, songwriter and producer Deborah Oluwaseyi Joshua (born December 21, 1985) better known by her stage name, Seyi Shay (pronounced Shay Shay) is set to take her place in Nigeria’s music
hall of fame.

Born and raised in London, UK to Nigerian parents, she began performing at the age of six.

A former member of the London Community Gospel Choir (LCGC) headed by Basil Meade, whose international tours and acclaim, afforded her a platform to perform in different cities around the world (including a 13 city tour in Japan) at the tender age of fourteen.
