Unknown Gunman Opens Fire in Deeper Life Church in Kogi | Kills 15 Worshippers

The community of Okene in Kogi State in Nigeria was thrown into turmoil after an unknown gunman went on rampage by opening fire in a crowded Deeper Life church near the  Federal College of Education in the state.

We gathered that the gunman killed 15 worshipers in the church shortly after he opened fire on them and left several others critically wounded in the wake of attack.

The incident was confirmed by the local government chairman in the area and emergency workers have made it clear that casualty figure is bound to rise in a few hours.




As at the time of filing this report, police and soldiers from the Joint Task Force were said to have cordoned off the area while investigations proceed.
