Ex Coca Cola Manager Reconciles With Wife [ARCHIVE]

As fate would have it, i just found the concluding part of the Ex Coca Cola boss' divorce saga and this was how the drama eventually played out:

It would be recalled that the woman, Mrs. Shola Oloruntoyin Oguntoyinbo had earlier filed a divorce suit against the man at a Lagos court.

After several failed attempts to reconcile with his wife, a former Manager of Coca Cola, a popular brand under the Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC), Mr. Olawale Atanda Oguntoyinbo has finally succeeded in convincing the woman that he is still deeply in love with her.

She had earlier informed the court that her husband had allegedly made several attempts to kill her in order to inherit all they had both acquired by dint of hard work.

She had therefore persistently asked the court to dissolve their 31-year-old union.

However, just as Mr. Oguntoyinbo was beginning to fear that his wife might go ahead and divorce him, the man who stands as the head of his extended family, Mr. Yinusa Kushimo emerged from the blues to raise his hopes.

Applying all the wisdom at his disposal, the elderly man appealed to the court against dissolving the couple. He explained that he had a very strong conviction that the parties can still be reconciled.

“I just got wind of the case and I will do everything possible to reconcile them. The husband is like a son to me but I regard both of them as children.”

When asked how much time he needs to make the intended reconciliatory moves, he was quick to respond. “Two weeks is ok. During this time, both families will meet and we’ll do everything necessary to save this marriage. They’ve been married for 31 years. I believe the Devil is behind all this.”

On the adjourned date, the embattled Coca Cola boss had appeared in court looking confident and unruffled.

When the court inquired to know how much progress he had made with his reconciliatory moves, the man informed the court that he had reconciled with his wife. The woman, who was also present in court, reaffirmed her husband’s submission.

The Court President therefore stated that the court was happy about the development and promptly struck the matter out of the course list.
