After 14 Years of Marriage, Man Tells Court: 'I’m Always Afraid of Making Love To My Wife'

Sex has been said to be an integral part of a happy marriage but a Lagos based commercial bus driver, Mr. Kenneth Onwubuya strongly disagrees with this submission.

The 34-year-old man recently told a Lagos court that his wife had made life miserable by using sex to lure him onto her traps.

Onwubuya who drives a commercial bus popularly known as ‘Molue’ has therefore asked the court to dissolve his marriage. In the divorce suit, he informed the court that on several occasions, his wife had taken advantage of him.

“We don’t live together. She lives in Agege. She always tells me that she doesn’t like the way I just come to her house and leave without playing with her. Most times, I can’t resist having sex with her.”

He however always had a price to pay nine months after the show. “When she’s pregnant, my life becomes miserable. She’s either asking for money to buy this or pay for that. She milks me dry with her pregnancy.”

He also recalled the painful memory of her first pregnancy. “We agreed that she would abort the pregnancy and I gave her money for it. After a month, she said the doctor needed more money to carry out the abortion and I gave her more money. After two months, she told me the doctor said she would die if she had an abortion. I gave her money again to go to the village. She eventually put to bed and kept demanding for money.”

She succeeded in drawing him into her warm embrace, the loving husband made love to her and once again she got pregnant. “It was a continuation of my misery. She’s either asking for money for school fees, rent or something else. I don’t love her anymore. She should just leave me alone. I don’t want custody of the children. My Molue is out of service."

The woman, Mrs. Bukky Chinedu however told the court that her husband was just being irresponsible. “The truth, which he hasn’t mentioned is that he doesn’t want people to know he has children. He impregnated me and put me in Agege because he doesn’t want me to live with him. Unfortunately, now the landlord wants me out. Where am I to go with the children?”

The court president eventually ordered the man to provide an alternative accommodation for his wife or allow her live with him till the case is rested by this court.
