Discovery Of Wife's Tattoo Shatters Husband's Trust
Well, just before her birthday she had her best friend, a tattoo artist, give her a small tattoo of a dragonfly with dots representing our four children. I didn't know about it for about six weeks, until I walked up behind her at her computer desk and noticed it on her upper shoulder. Our kids knew and hadn't said anything.
I got really mad and left the house for a while. When I returned and began arguing with her, she would say only that it was her body, and she would do whatever she wanted.
I have gotten over the tattoo part, but I haven't forgotten about not knowing and how I finally found out. I am hurt that she didn't tell me. She doesn't think it's worth apologizing for. It seems like everything she does now is one big secret.
Please advise...
A Mountain out of a mole hill! Hubby shud get over himself Already!! Its a small tattoo repping her kids...its not like she killed someone..besides if he wasn't so rigid she wud have been comfortable enuf to tell him & mayb a compromise wud have been agreed on! Or he is going to divorce her bcos of a small dragon fly tattoo...but it took him 4 weeks to notice..so he isn't regularly conversant wit his wife's body! The dude has deeper issues than the tattoo joor
ReplyDeleteI'm quite certain the husband wouldn't want to shake you after reading your comment but you have pointed out some very glaring truths in his predicament. But i tend to disagree wit her on some points - like when she said the body was hers and she can do with it as she pleases [A BIG NO FROM ME]. This is not a boyfriend n girlfriend relationship and should not be handled like a play thing. I have seen couples break up over things even not as big as a tattoo. You'd be shocked at how the mind works once trust flies out of the window.
