Selena Gomez in Emergency Room: Why She Needed Medical Attention
Selena Gomez went to an LA-based emergency room earlier Monday, E! News reports Nov. 19. The 20-year-old singer was spotted leaving the facility after receiving medical treatment for her throat.
A source close to the situation said Selena was in the emergency room to get a strep throat test. After she ended a recorded session, she wanted to get checked out "because her throat was bothering her. The insider added, "Also, her stepfather has had bronchitis so she wanted to be extra careful to make sure she wasn't getting it, too."
With the tumultuous weekend Selena has had over the on-and-off again romance with Justin Bieber, fans were alarmed there could have been more to the story with her going to the hospital.
Since the Friday night blowup with Justin, the two were together after the American Music Awards Sunday night. Various reports update by the hour on whether these two are actually remaining an item or breaking up for good. The source of much friction between Justin and Selena is rumored to be "supermodels." Big shock.
At least Selena Gomez is healthy and her trip to the emergency room was no big deal.
