Tonto Dike Takes 'My Life My Damage' to Cinemas


Controversial actress, Tonto Dikeh is in the news again but this time it is about her cinema debut 'My Life, My Damage,' from the “Damage Trilogy”, produced by actress/producer, Uche Jumbo.

In this movie, Dikeh, famous for her weird acting, depicts the character a young lady who lives a reckless life abroad as a drug addict, receives a rude shock when she discovers that she is HIV positive. The film which also stars Bukky Wright, Biola Williams, Bobby Obobo and Kalu Ikeagwu,  is part of The Damage series which is a movie collection of three distinct but interwoven stories aimed at advocacy for social issues. Each story addresses important problems affecting individuals, families and societies at large.

On the movie, Jombo, said, My Life, My Damage addresses a social phenomenon that is common to people the world over but like they say “Charity begins at home. The earlier we begin to inform our children of the dangers of keeping bad company, the better so as to avoid future regret. The HIV/AIDS scourge and drug abuse has devastated many families the world over.” Directed by Moses Inwang, the film which was shot in Minnesota, US and choice locations in Lagos, Nigeria, will be premiered in cinemas in November.
