Did You Know There's a New Terrorist Sect Besides Boko Haram?

Hi all. I just discovered that the Boko Haram is not the only terrorist sect in Nigeria anymore. They have now been joined by a new radical Islamist sect that has identified itself as 'Ansaru.' Yes, that's what they have decided to call themselves and despite the love for the season that i had in my heart a while ago, i suddenly worry for countless innocent Nigerians who would end up being victims to this new sect.

Guess what, the new sect, 'Ansaru' has already swung into violent action as it recently claimed responsibility for the recent kidnapping of a French national in Katsina.

According to the AFP, the group cited France’s push for military intervention in Mali as a justification.

A statement by the group said, “Ansaru announces to the world, especially the French government, that it was responsible for the abduction of engineer Francis Colump, 63, working for the French company Vergnet.

 “The reason for his kidnap is the stance of the French government and the French people on Islam,” said the statement written in Hausa.

The group specifically pointed to “France’s major role in the (planned) attack on the Islamic state in northern Mali.”

It also cited France’s “law outlawing the use of Islamic veil by Muslim women.”

For those who believe in prayers, this is the point where i tell you not to stop praying and for those who do not, my sympathy escorts you on this day.
