Wizkid Throws Another Stone?

For some time, the social media space has been buzzing with fears of fans over the rumoured exit of star singer, Wizkid from Banky W's EME Records and it's implication for both artistes.

Just when the noise about the perceived break up seemed to be dying down, Wizkid once again heightened the fears of fans when he dropped a seemingly suggestive comment on Twitter, which read:

"Selfish and greedy people never win...never!"

 

The fact that this is coming just a few days after he had initially sparked a frenzy of worry on Twitter makes this all the more worrying for his teeming fans across the world.

You would recall that Wizkid had previously gone on the popular social networking website, Twitter and said:

"Moving on to start all over again!…Fuck it!.."

At this point, i knew there was more the the buzz and that it was time to take it seriously.

As if his initial line was not enough, Wizkid seemed to nail the coffin of doubt in the minds of fans and music lovers across the globe when he Tweeted again:

"Don't take Loyalty for stupidity... Don't!"

Fans and loved ones are not the only ones who are in awe of Wizkid's immense talent and musical gifts as fellow celebrities have always held him in very high esteem despite his young age.

Popular Nigerian singer, Kefee recently described Wizkid as a smart kid. "...he's energetic and hardworking. He always says he's in the studio working and that's not so hard to see. I think he deserves whatever he gets."

Also, Kennis Music act, KSB said: "He is a fantastic song writer and i think he would naturally be a talkative. If you look at his verses, there's always so much going on in there. he's chewing words and he's vomitting them and then another song comes in. He doesn't repeat what he said in his last track in another song. He's a true talent and i'm happy that he has changed the scene of entertainment in Nigeria. he's no longer a kid, he's Wizzy. Back in the days, we used to look at up and coming artistes as if they should wait and take turns but now, they don't wait to take turns anymore. Na we dey wait these days."

Still on Wizkid, fast-rising rapper and model, Eva had a couple of things to say about him as well.

"Wizkid is a pretty amazing talented artiste. I have known Wizkid since he was really young. That was way before music kicked off for the both of us and i've had the opportunity to work with him in the studfio once. He's awesome. He's amazing. He's talented. He has music in his spirit and he just wants to get that music out. I love Wizkid. I love him and i think that has come a long way and i'm very proud of him."

MTN's 'Who Wants To Be a Millionaire' show host, Frank Edohor didn't seem to like him. Rather, he adored him and said: "He's on his way to being Nigeria's Akon in terms of him being the most collaborated artiste. Everybody wass to collaborate with Wizkid because obviously, he's hot. Wizkid is a spectacular kid and i just hope his works will confirm him a superstar."

Chocolate City Boss, Audu Maikori was full of glowing comments for the young singer and was obviously not one to conceal such.

"He's a wizard. He has a fantastic voice and he's a fantastic performer. I have seen him grow and seen him perform in America, the UK and Nigeria and seeing the effect everywhere. i think we have a real natural star," said Maikori

Olisa: Wizkid like all the other talented young guys is one of the guys making waves. He's good and he's gifted but there's so many of them. There's like a million Wizkids out there so trust me; i know because i see their CDs everyday. it's good to see that the talent base in this country is so huge. There are plenty more Wizkids waiting to get their shine as well."

Yaw: "He's a young boy. He's talented and he has got energy. So, i'm sure that the sky is too close to be his limit. He should just stay foces. I know that his management is doing a lot for him."

Freeze: "I watched Wizkid grow. He's a super talent."

JJC: "I love Wizkid. He's amazing. He's a brilliant artiste. He has lovely vocals and he is full of youth and vibrance. I love it."

Apparently, Wizkid is loved but when it comes to making the right career decisions, the ball will eventually fall in his court when it comes to deciding whether to stage a clean exit from Banky W's EME or remain loyal to the man who opened the gates of fame and prestige to him.

Banky W on the other hand, has continued to Banky W shut down reports of Wizkid's likely exit as he described them as nothing but rumours.

In one of his interviews, he maintained that Wizkid remains a very vibrant member of the EME family and that he only has international management and recording contracts with Tinie Tempah’s Disturbing London outfit and Konvict Records respectively.
