Reason Michael Jackson's Daughter, Paris Tried to Commit Suicide

Paris Jackson was in "meltdown" mode for a year over troubles with her family and it may have contributed to her alleged attempted suicide on Wednesday.

An insider from the teenager's school, Buckley School in the San Fernando Valley, claimed to the site that Paris began to change last September when the school year began.

It was alleged that Paris was still upset over Katherine Jackson, her legal guardian and grandmother, disappearing for a few days in August 2012 when her children took her to Arizona and cut off contact with everyone else. The Jackson children denied that they took their mother as a scheme to get more money from Michael Jackson's estate, but Paris was reportedly still upset.

A source at the school said that Paris' grades began to fall and that her anger grew when some members of the Jackson family prevented her from filming a movie she wanted to be a part of. At that point, she allegedly "broke down." The source also denied any claims that Paris was bullied at the school and believed that the claims were made for attention.

People reported Friday that Paris felt she was not getting enough attention at home. Although she cares deeply for her grandmother, a source said that Katherine was preoccupied with the wrongful death lawsuit the Jackson family filed against AEG and Paris felt abandoned.

"[Paris] loves Katherine, but Katherine is dealing with the trial - and Katherine is an old woman. Just getting to the trial and back is a big deal for Katherine," the source said. "She's not really capable of giving Paris all the support she needs."

The source said that Paris sought the comfort of her biological mother, Debbie Rowe, to help fill the void in her life.

"She and Katherine are close, but it just isn't working for Paris. That's why Paris has turned to Debbie Rowe. There is something missing in Paris's life. The family hasn't really taken this serious," the source said.
The publication added that the family was now going to come together to help the 16-year-old girl. She allegedly attempted suicide on Wednesday by cutting her wrist and taking Motrin pills.  Michael's Jackson's daughter is now under a 72 hour psychiatric hold at a California hospital.
