Tamera Mowry Reveals Age She Lost Her Virginity

The thought is that child stars grow up fast, but Tamera Mowry-Housley bucked the trend.

Housley, who starred on the '90s sitcom "Sister, Sister" with her twin sis Tia Mowry, has revealed that she lost her virginity later than most people.

"I don't know how to explain this," the 35-year-old said when she and other ladies from the new Fox talk show "The Real" appeared on New York's Hot 97 radio station this week. "I'm religious, so I waited until I was 29 to lose my virginity. You may not understand this [but] I did it, then I felt guilty, then I became celibate until I got married."

Housley, who tied the knot with Fox News Channel's Adam Housley in May 2011, obviously caught up quickly, because she gave birth to the couple's first child last November.

She was also quick to point out that when she and the other co-hosts of the new talk show "The Real" interviewed a sex therapist, she was the one who "knew everything."

Adrienne Bailon — Housley's co-host, along with Jeannie Mai, Loni Love, and Tamar Braxton — explained that she wasn't surprised at Housley's knowledge.

"Just because you only had sex with one person doesn't mean you're not a freak and I think that that's a good thing," Bailon said. "I think people think that you could only be a freak by doing it with a bunch of people. You can be a freak and just be a freak with one person. That is beautiful and dope."
