The Untold Story Behind Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's baby's Name

As typical of the Kardashian family, Kim Kardashian's pregnancy attracted consistent attention from the media; from the moment she was confirmed pregnant through the period of being delivered of her daughter. Of course, American rap star, Kanye West was not left out of the media feast.

Now that the baby has arrived, the media buzz is far from over. On the contrary, the baby's arrival has remained in the headlines from her birth till the time of writing this piece.

For those who are not aware of Kim and Kanye's daughter's identity, her name is North West.

If you knew this already, did you also know that her parents have decided to call her Nori for short?

This was recently confirmed, but have you noticed anything about that nickname?

Well, if you combine Kim Noel Kardashian and Kanye Omari West's middle names, what you get is ‘Nori.’

The rumours began circulating in March that Kim and Kanye were considering naming their child, North.

Shortly afterwards, Kardashian, 32, denied that North was a possibility during an appearance on ‘The Tonight Show.’

“That is not true,” the reality star told Jay Leno. "That is not one of the names on our list. We have a list and some of them are 'K' names and some of them aren't."

The ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star didn't stop with her denial there. Overcompensating, perhaps?

"You know what name I do like, but it probably won't be on [our list] ... I like Easton. Easton West. I think that's cute," she said during her appearance, drawing laughter from the audience.

Clearly, Kardashian and West, 35, are getting the last laugh. Who knew she could actually keep a secret from the media?

Kardashian gave birth to a healthy baby girl on Saturday, June 15, which immediately sent the media into a name-speculation frenzy.

We also gathered that there wasn't ‘drama’ between Kim and Kanye when it came to deciding a name for their daughter as they simply wanted to take their time to choose the right name.
