Two Queens to Emerge at Maiden Edition of MCCN and MBGE Pageants
The organisers of the Most Beautiful Girl in Eko and Miss
Capital City Nigeria (MCCN) beauty pageants have concluded plans to stage the
maiden edition of both events on October 27 at Our Place situated Off Toyin
Street, Ikeja in Lagos.
The official colour of the pageants is green as made
manifest in the colour codes announced by the organisers.
The event, which was put together by Ereon Pageantry, an
event company, is aimed at promoting African beauty, values, civilization,
decency and dignity of the African girl child.
According to the Public Relations Manager of MCCN and MBGE,
Miss Blessing E. Iheanyim “the two in one pageant would be showcasing cultural
export, African fashion designs, comedy, talent exhibitions, choreography,
concert, award and much more. The national queen can be Hausa, Fulani, Yoruba,
Ibo, Ijaw, Idoma, or from any part of the minority groups in Nigeria. The aim of this national pageant is to
promote African values, culture and civilization and to empower the girl child.
Camping of contestants began on October 23 while the winners
are expected to emerge at the grand finale.
