Eminem Crowned Youtube Artiste of the Year

American rap sensation, Eminem has been crowned Artiste of the Year at the YouTube awards.

The 41-year-old rapper walked away with the gong at the ceremony held in New York City on Sunday night, while Taylor Swift's 'I Knew You Were Trouble' won the YouTube Phenomenon award.

Nominees were selected by the amount of YouTube views, likes, comments and subscription figures for different artistes.

The YouTube music awards 2013 winners are as follows:

Video of the Year - Girls' Generation ('I Got A Boy')

Artist of the Year – Eminem

Response of the Year - Lindsey Stirling and Pentatonix ('Radioactive')

YouTube Phenomenon - 'I Knew You Were Trouble'

YouTube Breakthrough - Macklemore & Ryan Lewis

Innovation of the Year - DeStorm ('See Me Standing')
