Waliyah Returns with Two Singles, Shut It Down, Siwaju

Waliyah; one of the new Afro pop singers to watch out for has staged a musical return with two new singles titled Shut It Down and Siwaju.

Not entirely new to the music industry Waliyah has been writing songs for many years. With an Olympic tribute song approved by the BBC for use during the Olympic coverage on UK team and a sold out show with her band at London's Jazz Cafe featuring her critically acclaimed soul pop song Hidden Agenda.

Her first video Ejekajo enjoyed a good run on Soundcity earlier this year and this was followed by her remarkable performances at shows like Rhythm Unplugged, Ovation Red Carol and the Loud and Proud show where she shared the stage with Nneka, Tiwa Savage and Omawunmi.

For those who didn’t know, her name, Waliyah translates into Princess in Arabic language.

This talented up and coming artist has an MBA in Chemical Engineering and a previous career in investment banking.
